Process Deep Dive

Every step from listing to commission invoice

For sellers who want to know exactly what happens, in what order, with what timing. Fast Auto Exit is a marketing lead and match-making service; we do not buy, take title, or hold funds.

1. Submission and confirmation

You submit your car through the listing form or by calling our match-making desk. Within one business hour you receive a confirmation email with a secure link to upload photos. Photos are stored in encrypted cloud storage and are visible only to authorized Fast Auto Exit staff and the specific buyers we choose to surface your car to (under NDA).

2. Fit assessment

Our team verifies your VIN against NHTSA records, checks title history, reviews your photos, and assesses whether your car fits the buyer profile we serve. If it does, you move to matching. If not, we tell you why and recommend better channels (Bring a Trailer, RM Sotheby's, specialist dealers).

3. Buyer matching

We query our buyer network against your specific car: brand, model, year, mileage, condition, price expectation, and geography. Buyers who fit receive an invitation to view your listing details under NDA. Interested buyers signal back with a target price range and identify themselves.

4. Match presentation

We present each interested buyer to you with their profile, target price, type (private collector, dealer, exporter), and recent transaction history. You choose which buyers to engage. You can also reject all and remain in our matching pool for the next round.

5. Commission disclosure signing

Once you choose to engage with a specific buyer, both you and the buyer separately sign a short commission disclosure with us. This documents what our service is, what commission we will invoice to each side at closing, and the time window in which the commission applies (12 months from introduction). You sign electronically through our in-house signature platform with full audit trail.

6. Direct introduction

After both parties sign, we share contact details and put the seller and buyer in direct communication. From this point forward, the transaction is between you and the buyer.

7. Seller-buyer negotiation

You and the buyer agree on a final purchase price. We do not negotiate on your behalf. We are available to share market data, recent comparable sales, and historical buyer activity if either side wants context. The final price is between you and the buyer.

8. Title transfer

Seller and buyer handle title transfer directly with each other per the seller's state DMV rules. If either party wants outsourced paperwork, we can recommend an independent title-services partner; we do not provide the service ourselves.

9. Transport

Transport is the buyer's responsibility. The buyer arranges and pays for enclosed transport (or any other method) directly with their chosen carrier.

10. Payment

The buyer pays the seller directly via wire transfer, certified funds, or third-party escrow that the two parties agree on. We do not touch the funds.

11. Commission invoicing

After closing, we send separate Square invoices to the seller and to the buyer for their respective shares of the match-making commission. The amounts and split were documented in the commission disclosure both parties signed in step 5. Invoices are due within 7 days of issue.
